MetroCats - who are we?

We are a group of Melbourne-based GFC supporters and, along with a number of like-minded interstate/international groups, are confirmed footy tragics. If you are just as passionate, and would like to become a MetroCats member, why not complete an online application here now?

Background

Originally known as The MelCats, we have been around for quite a few years. Our focus remains the same though - having fun and promoting GFC membership and fund-raising activities. The MetroCats committee is completely volunteer based and works very closely with the GFC to develop an affordable, useful and interesting program for Melbourne-based Cats supporters to enjoy.

MetroCats - why do we exist?

As an authorised GFC supporter group, we aim to promote the Club, provide positive GFC-related experiences and encourage supporters living in Melbourne to become members. Examples of MetroCats activities include:

helping sell memberships at GFC games
assisting with the GFC junior footy clinic held in Melbourne
holding a dedicated MetroCats function for Melbourne-based supporters
raising funds with Nine Lives Geelong via the annual Geelong Coach's Night (Mid-Season Footy Wrap) in Melbourne (a major fund-raising event for the Club)
